Using WhosThatMon

WhosThatMon is a free browser-based Pokemon guessing game. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please stop using the site.

Accounts

An anonymous account is created automatically when you first play. Your account is identified by a token stored in your browser — there is no email or password login. You are responsible for keeping your browser data and recovery key safe. We cannot restore accounts without a valid recovery key.

Fair Play

You agree not to:

• Use bots, scripts, or automation to play the game or submit scores
• Tamper with game data or exploit bugs to manipulate leaderboards
• Impersonate other players or use offensive display names
• Abuse the API in ways that degrade the experience for others

We reserve the right to remove scores, reset accounts, or ban players who violate fair play rules.

Intellectual Property

Pokemon, Pokemon names, and related media are trademarks and copyrights of Nintendo, The Pokemon Company, and Game Freak. WhosThatMon is an unofficial fan project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these companies. Pokemon data and sprites are sourced from PokeAPI, a community-maintained open API.

Availability

We try to keep WhosThatMon available, but we don't guarantee uptime. The game may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control. We may also modify or discontinue features at any time.

Limitation of Liability

WhosThatMon is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss of game data, account access, or other damages arising from your use of the site.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of WhosThatMon after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
